Challenge

A global food corporation was planning to consolidate its two facilities in Gurgaon, relocating them to one new workspace in the city. The firm’s relocation strategy aimed to create a dynamic workplace that is welcoming, collaborative and purposeful. They wanted their new office to be future-ready to accommodate more than 300 employees and offer them an agile environment where people would enjoy coming and meeting each other.

The client reached out to JLL seeking help to execute their relocation strategy.

Approach

We conducted focus groups to better comprehend people's requirements and aspirations for their new workplace. In addition, one-on-one discussions were held with the client's project team, business heads, and other stakeholders, including the technical, commercial real estate and HR teams. The outcome of these activities formed the base for planning the relocation move.

JLL identified five key themes that emerged crucial for the new office. The spatial location of the office, brand culture, work styles, people-centricity and open office culture-related challenges and opportunities. The development proposal that JLL prepared reflected all these recommendations.

Result

JLL's in-depth space utilisation studies helped the client understand their current utilisation. The proposed design solutions enabled the client teams to develop a simple plan for optimising their real-estate efficiency.
